TELEHEALTH

We at the Family Doc’s Clinic are pleased to announce the ability to provide TELEHEATH appointments.  This a two-way, real- time interactive communication between a patient and a physician or practitioner at a distant site through telecommunications equipment that includes audio and visual equipment. This is not intended to replace person to person interaction for all appointments. If you feel you need the need to be evaluated by a provider without coming to the office please contact our office.  The front office will triage your situation and discuss it with our providers.  If the provider thinks a telehealth visit may be appropriate, you will be given instructions on how to connect with a provider at a designated time.  Please be aware, not all health conditions can be done via this communication and the ultimate decision will be made by the provider.

To make sure communication is optimal please read the following:

  • Communication can be done on most smart phones, tablets, and computers that have internet access

    • Devices must have a camera and microphone, so if using a computer, make sure you have those

    • Most smart phones and tablets will have them already

    • For best connection, you will need to be connected to the internet

  • There is nothing to download

  • Make sure there are no other programs(windows) running

  • Re-boot you device about 5 minutes before your telehealth appointment
