THE PRACTICE

The roots of this practice date back to 1978.  When Dr. Evtishios J.(E.J.) Daros opened up his first practice in Grand Blanc called the Clinic in Kirkridge. For almost 20 years, Dr. E. J. worked there and built up a wonderful reputation in the community.  Dr. E. J. wanted to expand the business to allow room for other doctors to join him.  One of those doctors was his son Dr. Antony Daros.

Family Doc’s Clinic’s present site was then located and construction began in 1996.   Dr. Antony Daros graduated from residency and joined the practice in 1999.  Since then they have worked to establish a welcoming place where families and individuals can come and receive superior health care.

When asked, "what age of patients do you see?" , our answer is, "we take care of people from birth to death."

Dr. Evtishios (“E.J.”) Daros graduated from Ferris State University in 1970 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. He then worked as a pharmacist for 8 years, both prior to and during medical school. Dr. E. J. Daros graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. Since he was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, Dr. Daros moved back home for his internship at the Flint Osteopathic Hospital.

In 1978 Dr. E.J. Daros opened his first practice in Grand Blanc, the Clinic of Kirkridge. While practicing there, Dr. E. J. Daros developed a computer billing program for doctors. That program developed into a side business, with Dr. E.J. Daros selling it to doctors throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

By 1996, Dr. E.J.’s great reputation had made business expansion necessary and construction began on Family Doc’s Clinic. Three years later, Dr. Antony Daros joined his father’s thriving business.

Dr. E.J. Daros has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of Family Medicine.  He was an assistant clinical professor at Michigan State University, has participated in a Mentor Nurse Practitioner Program at U of M Flint, and is a staff member at Genesys Regional Medical Center. He has received the Primary Care Physician of the year award from Genesys Regional Medical Center for 4 years and Family Doc’s Clinic was named Genesee County’s Clinic of the year in 2014.

Dr. Daros has been blessed with a wonderful, supportive wife, 2 children (who both followed his path into medicine), 5 grandkids, and three great-grandchildren.  He has a passion for traveling around the world and speaks fluent Greek. His inspiration for all these amazing accomplishments was the man he looked up to most – his father, an immigrant from Greece who stood not even 5 feet tall.

Dr. Antony Daros graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996 and then completed an internship and residency in family practice at Genesys Reginal Medical Center.  In 1999 he joined his father’s practice, Family Doc’s Clinic.

Dr. Daros has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of Family Medicine.  He has received special training in Opioid Abuse and Treatment, and worked in an urgent care for 8 years.  He also has significant experience training new physicians and medical students.  Most recently, Dr. Daros has expanded his education to include bioidentical hormones and thyroid optimization.

As an Osteopathic physician, he looks at a patient as a whole, not individual parts.  He also uses osteopathic manipulation and other techniques to improve the status of his patients and allow their bodies to heal themselves as much as possible.  Although he enjoys an occasional chocolate chip cookie, he has a passion for good nutrition and plenty of exercise, a passion he tries to pass on to his patients.

Dr. Daros feels honored to have been able to work with his father for so many years.   He and his father work as a team.  They consult each other on hard cases and exchange call coverage so each one has a break now and then.

Dr. Daros has been blessed with a wonderful, supportive wife, 3 children, one son-in-law, and three beautiful grand daughters.  If asked what is most important in his life, without hesitation he would say God, his wife, his family, taking care of people, and serving others.

He loves the outdoors and never passes up a chance to waterski.
